Some wounds heal quickly, other wounds take some time. Then there are the wounds won't heal if you wait a hundred years. For a fan to have their team come within three games of winning the Stanley Cup in the first year of their existence is one of the latter. At least we're at a point where I can talk about it.
GM George McPhee and Coach Gerard Gallant have done something truly miraculous. The Vegas Golden Knights are the best expansion team in the history of professional sports. This group of castoffs proved what is possible when a group of average players each give 100% and work together as a team. What a year it has been!
