Pyramid Lake is located on the Paiute Reservation north of Reno. It is an iconic high desert lake with big Lahontan Cutthroat trout. It is a legit destination for fly fisherman. Standard tactics involve casting fast-sinking lines with heavy rods from shore while standing on ladders to try and stay out of the cold water. It is not an easy fishery to master and we paid the price, fishing two days for a couple of fish. At Pyramid, even the little ones are big by any other standard.
Everything was right in Tate's world after this fish--until he got caught using the urinal from the roadside lookout by Tribal Police. I unwittingly captured him in the act on my pano shot. He got off with a warning, but has to live with 'nudity and disrobing' on his PERMANENT RECORD.
